TOOBA AAMIR

I am a Doctoral Researcher based at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. I completed my PhD in 2021 from RMIT University, with a focus on Service-Oriented Computing, Social Sensors and Social Sensing as-a-service. My research interest includes Service computing and Spatio-temporal data analysis, mainly social media data and metadata analysis. I have published my work in top tier Web technologies and services conferences and journal, namely IEEE ICWS, WISE, ICSOC and IEEE TSC. I am proud to have developed a creative, collaborative, and open-minded career and invite you to learn more about my work below.

ABOUT

I reached a milestone in my career when I graduated and became a Doctoral Researcher in 2020. My PhD research focuses on employing the Service paradigm to efficiently reconstruct tapestry scenes based on social media images. Social-sensor cloud services are modelled upon social media image metadata. I designed frameworks to efficiently compose social-sensor services to reconstruct scenes based on user queries, which successfully bypass the bottlenecks of traditional image-processing-based approaches. Since then, my research has progressed and evolved into areas of trust assessment in social images, a smooth composition of social-sensor services and few other new projects driven by the results of my work. I invite you to take a look at my published work to get a better idea of my recent work. Feel free to get in touch with me to say hi or for more information about my work.
